Building survey explained
A building survey is carried out by one of our RICS qualified surveyors. Though we are a national company, all of our surveyors are responsible for a local area - so we have first-hand experience of local markets.
Interior and exterior inspection
Our surveyor will make a thorough internal inspection of the property.
The exterior inspection includes a visual check of accessible parts of roofs and drains on the property. It will identify any structural movement and evidence of major problems.
Advice and recommendations
Among the key advantages of a building survey is that it gives you a detailed analysis of a property's construction. It also gives you an assessment of essential repairs including the likely repair cost and a recommendation on how the repair should be carried out.
If you're about to buy a home, you may have specific concerns about the property. Our surveyors are happy to discuss your concerns with you and help you decide which type of survey would be appropriate.
Costs for our building surveys are available on request as they vary greatly according to the age and type of property.
