Colleys Scottish Single Survey
All homes marketed for sale in Scotland with a limited number of exceptions (such as new build) now require a Home Report. A Home Report contains three documents that provide buyers and sellers with essential information about the condition and value of a property before an offer to purchase is made.
The Colleys Home Report comprises:
- The Single Survey (and optional generic Mortgage Valuation Report) - this contains detailed information about the condition and value of the property along with an accessibility audit for people with particular needs. The optional Mortgage Valuation Report contains information that a lender may require in assessing a property as suitable for mortgage funding.
- The Energy Report - gives a home's energy efficiency rating and its environmental impact in terms of carbon emissions and can help you to save on energy bills.
- The Property Questionnaire - this is completed by the seller of the property and contains details such as service providers, council tax banding and alterations etc.
All of Colleys surveyors in Scotland are required to have undergone RICS Scotland's Single Survey training and are fully qualified to deliver the Single Survey.
